Responsibilities

• Hire new nurses and oversee onboarding, including training or assigning a trainer.
• Create schedules to ensure adequate nursing coverage for every shift.
• Coach nurses to improve performance and address discipline issues.
• Monitor expenses to keep the facility within budget.
• Hold staff meetings to discuss patient status and updates.
• Conduct employee evaluations to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Make rounds to assess patient status and observe nursing care.
• Check patient records to ensure accuracy and currency.
