Ryders Health Management is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing Services in Newington, CT to lead nursing operations and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care across our skilled nursing facility.

The DNS will oversee staffing, policy development, QAPI initiatives, and regulatory compliance while promoting a culture of clinical excellence and accountability. Join a team focused on staff growth and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• CT RN license is required and must be current.
• BSN preferred; MSN or higher is a strong asset for senior leadership.
• Minimum 2+ years clinical nursing with progressive responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services.
• Direct, supervise, and support nursing staff including scheduling and performance management.
• Develop and enforce nursing policies per current standards and regulations.
• Ensure staffing levels and skill mix to meet resident needs and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee care planning, resident assessments, and service coordination.
• Lead QAPI initiatives and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure survey readiness and respond to inspections and audits.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Oversee infection prevention and control programs.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources.
• Support staff education and leadership growth.
• Participate in strategic planning and organizational initiatives.
