The DON will oversee Nursing Services, ensure compliance with federal, state, and company standards, and supervise 24-hour nursing operations to maintain high-quality resident care. Responsibilities include coordinating care plans, policy communication, admissions involvement, and leading management team discussions.

Qualifications

• RN license and professional nursing degree are required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Five years in long-term or acute care preferred; at least 2 years supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assumes ultimate responsibility for coordinating plans for total resident care in alignment with physician orders and regulations.
• Communicates and interprets policies to nursing staff and monitors practices.
• Participates in admissions decisions and may visit prospective residents.
• Contributes to management team discussions and addresses resident status and concerns.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
