THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Office of Long-Term Living, is seeking a Nursing Services Consultant. If you are an organized, professional registered nurse with excellent communication skills and the desire to travel statewide to provide operational and clinical oversight for the Living Independence for the Elderly (LIFE) Program (also known as PACE), we encourage you to apply today!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Nursing Services Consultant, serving as the LIFE Program Lead in the Division of Integrated Care Programs, manages operational and clinical activities while ensuring procedural compliance for the LIFE program. Responsibilities include traveling statewide to coordinate policies, procedures, regulations, and quality improvement initiatives, overseeing risk management programs, and developing collaborative relationships with Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to discuss operational issues. The role also involves investigating complaints and providing technical assistance to provider agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
  • This is a home-based position requiring a securely configured high-speed internet connection; work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. Alternatively, you may report to the Harrisburg headquarters.
  • Telework is not available for this position
  • Salary: Starting salary may be non-negotiable in some cases

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
Special Requirements
  • Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
  • Employees with a temporary permit must obtain full licensure within one year
Other Requirements
  • Residency requirement is currently waived for this title
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
