Job summary

Methodist University is seeking a Chair & Head of Nursing to lead the School of Nursing, overseeing Pre-licensure BSN, RN-to-BSN, DNP, and future programs. You will manage curriculum, accreditation processes, faculty development, student success, and clinical partnerships to ensure compliance with NC Board of Nursing requirements and CCNE standards.

The role includes strategic planning, budgeting, governance, and collaboration across CHSHS to advance interprofessional education and community

Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in North Carolina with eligibility for NC Board of Nursing leadership oversight.
• At least 5 years of nursing education leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and leadership in developing nursing program offerings in line with regulatory and accreditation bodies.
• Recruit, supervise and mentor nursing faculty, staff and clinical instructors; support professional development.
• Lead faculty governance, strategic planning, budgeting, and school-level initiatives.
• Coordinate CCNE self-studies, annual reports and site visits.
• Oversee program budget, grant development, and simulation resource acquisition.
• Maintain clinical partnerships and supervision of DEUs and clinical hours.
