Job summary

The Wellington at Southport, a Sonida Senior Living community in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Part-Time Nursing QMA Evening Shift with insulin certification. You will administer medications, assist residents with daily living activities, and monitor health status under physician orders.

The role may involve supervising CNAs and providing compassionate care in a memory care/assisted living setting. Eligible candidates must be Indiana-licensed as a QMA and possess insulin certification; high

• Must be licensed in Indiana as a Qualified Medication Aide.
• Insulin Certification required.
• High School or better.
• Technical/other training or better.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration.
• May supervise CNAs as directed.
• Provide patients' personal hygiene by assisting with baths, showers, and related care.
• Assist with activities of daily living; help with meals, mobility, and nourishment between meals.
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, weight, and documenting intake/output.

**Eligibility based on location

• You will be responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration, and may supervise CNAs as directed
• Provides patients' personal hygiene by giving bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves; assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths
• Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals
• Maintains patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information

Qualifications:

• Must be licensed in Indiana as a Qualified Medication Aide, and must maintain current and unencumbered licensure
• Insulin Certification required
