Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking an Associate Program Director to provide oversight of nursing programs, guiding applicants, students, faculty, and staff toward student-centered success. The role partners with the Program Director to ensure regulatory compliance and excellent educational outcomes.

The Associate Program Director will drive program operations, oversee curriculum, and coordinate clinical placements while supporting student achievement and graduation readiness.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing required; doctoral degree preferred.
  • Unencumbered RN licensure in applicable state.
  • Three years of recent clinical experience; strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously; analyze data and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor students and coordinate with faculty and staff to support program success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight to applicants, enrolled students, faculty, and staff; align with Program Director.
  • Monitor program completion, retention, and student satisfaction data; collaborate with committees.
  • Oversee admissions, readmissions, and student support, including counseling referrals.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and mentoring of faculty and staff.
  • Review curriculum and ensure NCLEX readiness; manage clinical site assignments.
  • Participate in governance and routine nursing leadership meetings.
