Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking an Academic Coordinator to provide administrative and program support for an assigned academic program while supporting the Dean and faculty. This position helps keep daily operations organized and ensures faculty, staff, and students have the resources they need.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Full-time position located at WSU Tech South.

Qualifications

• Five years of administrative experience, preferably in higher education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to faculty, adjunct faculty, coordinators, and lead instructors.
• Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, agendas, documentation, and minutes.
• Manage incoming correspondence, emails, and other communications.
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties including phones, filing, copying, mailing, and bookkeeping.
• Coordinate faculty meetings, in-service training, and department meetings.
• Prepare, manage, review, and summarize reports, documents, memos, and correspondence.
• Maintain information on the intranet and adjunct faculty database.
• Manage VISA expenses and travel documentation for assigned programs.
• Coordinate purchasing documents, supplies, and invoices for payment.
• Assist with maintenance of offices, classrooms, labs, and equipment.
• Submit adjunct faculty load and compensation payments and maintain related records.
• Complete required professional development activities.
• Maintain compliance with laws and protect confidential information.
