Qualifications

• Health care field experience with short-term health education.
• Experience teaching or training adults is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, or clinical certifications are advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms; able to use hybrid teaching methods.

Responsibilities

Overview / Job Summary:

The Adjunct Faculty Instructor is responsible for teaching Short Term Health courses, providing subject matter expertise, adhering to lesson plans, meeting course objectives, and maintaining professional academic standards.

Your day-to-dayresponsibilitieswill vary, but are not limited to:

• Delivering high-quality instruction in Short Term Health programs to promote student learning and engagement.
• Supervising and managing students in classroom or lab settings to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
• Keeping students informed about course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance expectations.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve curricula that meet the objectives of the program.
• Ensuring compliance with WSU Tech’s academic standards and regulatory requirements.

Education:

• PN Technical Certificate required for LPN, Associates degreerequiredor BSN for RN.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Experience in the health care field, particularly in short-term health educationrequired.
• Previous teaching or training experience in adult educationpreferred.
• Current certifications related to health care professions, such as CPR, First Aid, or specific clinical skills, are an advantage.
• Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms and willingness to utilize hybrid teaching methods as needed.
