Job summary

Wheaton College is hiring an Assistant/Associate Dean of Nursing to provide administrative and academic leadership for the nursing program. The role partners with the Dean of Nursing to shape curriculum, ensure accreditation, mentor faculty, and grow program operations.

The position emphasizes experiential learning, high-fidelity simulation, and strong clinical partnerships to prepare graduates for a dynamic health care environment. Final title will reflect qualifications and internal structure.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Nursing is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 to 3 years of administrative leadership experience in nursing education is expected.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dean of Nursing in planning development implementation and evaluation of the program.
• Lead strategic planning for new learning activities, program enhancements, and degree expansion.
• Support curriculum development with appropriate expertise and documentation.
• Strengthen relationships with clinical agencies and community partners.
• Prepare reports for accrediting and governmental agencies including BRN, CCNE, SSH, INACSL.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to advance experiential learning and simulation-based education.
