Job summary

AA Healthcare Management is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing in Wisconsin to plan, organize, develop and direct the Nursing Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. The role ensures the highest quality of care and oversees restorative nursing programs.

Qualifications

• Nursing license required.
• RN preferred.
• Experience in administrative nursing roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, directs and evaluates the facility’s Nursing Program.
• Manage facility Wound Program.
• Meets with the interdisciplinary team to develop restorative care standards.
• Ensures nursing program compliance with laws and standards.
• Participates in admission process and provides overview of restorative program.
• Participates in discharge planning and patient care planning.
• Performs administrative tasks including charting, care planning and reporting; completes MDS portions on time.
• Assists with recruitment and supervision of restorative nursing staff.
• Provides supervision to CNAs and subordinate staff and conducts performance reviews.
• Counsels and disciplines subordinate staff as needed.
• Performs on-floor nursing care when required.
• Maintains infection control and safety precautions.
• Ensures guest comfort, privacy and dignity.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services.
• Leads data analysis and performance improvement initiatives.
