Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking an Assistant Dean for the BSN Program to lead the nursing program at our Reno campus. The role oversees site supervision, development, planning, coordination, organization, implementation and evaluation of nursing program activities.

Key duties include managing the RN program budget, faculty and staff, clinical site liaison, curriculum development, policy adherence, student advising, admissions, and articulation agreements with nearby colleges to ensure accreditation

Qualifications

• Must hold a current RN license in the state where the campus is located.
• A master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or University that includes course work in nursing, education or administration.
• A minimum of two years of experience in an administrative position.
• A minimum of two years of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
• At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and/or equivalent experience as determined by the Board.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to diversity, as defined by state law.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the nursing program activities including supervision, development, planning, coordination, and evaluation.
• Manages the RN program budget, faculty, staff, and clinical site liaison.
• Develops and updates curriculum; ensures program compliance with Board rules and site visits.
• Assists with student advising, admissions, orientation, and articulation agreements with nearby colleges.
• Maintains program policies, procedures, handbooks, and partnerships with clinical sites; coordinates evaluations and reports.
