Job summary

University of Mount Saint Vincent School of Nursing seeks a dedicated nursing faculty member to contribute to excellence in teaching, academic advising, student success, and service while providing specialized coordination and support for cohorts of religiously observant Jewish nursing students.

The successful candidate will promote academic achievement, student engagement, retention, and progression by providing culturally responsive support and assisting students and faculty in navigating

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• Current, unencumbered Registered Professional Nurse license and NY eligibility is required.
• Experience in academic advising, mentoring, or nursing education leadership is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate nursing courses in line with School of Nursing needs and accreditation.
• Provide academic advisement and mentoring to nursing students.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation activities.
• Maintain professional competence through scholarship, practice, and service as appropriate.
• Collaborate with university offices and committees to support student success and scheduling needs.
• Support conduct of student recruitment, orientation, progression, engagement, and retention initiatives.
