Job summary

Oklahoma City Community College invites applications for Professor of Nursing. The faculty member will plan, develop, implement and evaluate nursing curricula, test blueprints, and course objectives while advising students and participating in college activities.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, progress toward a Master’s in Nursing (minimum 6 credits/year), and at least two years of full-time RN practice. Oklahoma RN license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required).
• Pursuit of Master’s Degree in Nursing with progress toward degree (minimum 6 credit hours/year).
• Minimum 2 years full-time equivalent RN practice in a clinical setting prior to teaching.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Oklahoma.
• Strong communication and human relations skills; able to teach day and evening classes.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software.

• Instruct and develop curriculum for nursing courses.
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate course objectives, tests and blueprints.
