Qualifications

Role Description This full-time, on-site Nursing Professional Development role is based at AdventHealth in Winter Park, FL. The professional in this role designs, implements, and evaluates educational programs that support nursing practice, onboarding, and ongoing competency. Daily activities include conducting learning needs assessments, developing evidence-based curricula, facilitating classes and simulations, and providing coaching and mentorship at the unit level. The role collaborates with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support quality improvement, promote best practices, and align educational initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Responsibilities also include tracking outcomes, maintaining documentation, and supporting nurses in career development and certification preparation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in nursing education, including curriculum development, classroom instruction, and clinical coaching.
• Experience in assessing learning needs, planning competency-based programs, and evaluating educational outcomes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to facilitate learning and engage diverse nursing teams.
• Ability to collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary partners on quality, safety, and practice improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with common office and learning technologies (e.g., learning management systems, presentation software, basic data tracking tools).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain, with a strong clinical practice background.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, or related field preferred.
• Professional certification in nursing professional development, education, or a clinical specialty (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe) is highly beneficial.
