AdventHealth Lake Wales in Florida is seeking an experienced Nursing Education Specialist to design curricula, develop programs of study, guide learners, and evaluate learning outcomes for nursing staff in a clinical setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing (RN) with strong adult learning skills, and preferred 5+ years in nursing education and research. On-site position with comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• RN with Bachelor’s in Nursing is required; Master’s preferred.
• 1+ year education experience in acute care or academic setting is required.
• 5+ years nursing education and research experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design curricula, develop programs of study, guide learners and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Apply adult learning principles in planning, implementing and evaluating education programs.
• Prepare and maintain educational materials relevant to the audience.
• Assist students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs and opportunities.
• Coordinate orientation of new staff and agency personnel.
• Evaluate effectiveness of educational programming and adjust content accordingly.
• Track educational offerings and share information with unit leadership.
• Provide educational opportunities that benefit nurses at all career stages.
• Support bedside nurses with PEP and participate in residency programs as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes.
• Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs.
