Job summary

AdventHealth Sebring is seeking a skilled Nursing Education professional to design curricula, develop programs of study, and guide learners while evaluating learning outcomes. You will apply adult learning principles in planning, delivering, and assessing education for nurses and staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating orientation for new personnel, evaluating educational effectiveness, and supporting the bedside nurse with Professional Enhancement Program and residency experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Nursing required
• 1+ education experience in acute care or academic setting
• 5+ experience in nursing education
• 5+ years nursing experience
• Experience in Nursing Research
• RN license required
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NRP preferred
• PALS preferred
• NPD-BC preferred

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Designs curricula, develops programs of study, guides learners, and evaluates learning outcomes. Incorporates principles of adult learning in planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs. Plans, prepares, and maintains materials for educational programs, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience. Assists students and practicing nurses in identifying learning needs, strengths, and opportunities. Coordinates orientation of new staff, including agency personnel, into the organization. Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming and adjusts content and teaching strategies based on learner needs. Tracks educational offerings and shares information with unit leadership as needed. Provides educational opportunities that benefit nurses in all stages of career development. Supports the bedside nurse with Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) and participates in residency programs as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
