Job summary

The Ambulatory Surgery Center in University of Iowa Health Care’s perioperative division seeks a Nursing Practice Leader to serve as a change agent, integrating clinical leadership with education, research, informatics, and administration to support and enhance patient care.

You will provide leadership and supervision for a defined area, partner with IT and clinical teams on system design and optimization, lead practice standards, and mentor staff while advancing evidence-based nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field; Iowa RN license.
• 3–5 years clinical experience in a large health system; perioperative exp ≥2 years.
• 1 year in a clinical leadership role; informatics implementations experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for nursing care delivery and documentation.
• Serve as liaison between clinical teams and IT for system requirements.
• Translate clinical practice into electronic health information systems.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of clinical technologies.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards in care delivery.
