Job summary
The California Nurses Association (CNA)/National Nurses United (NNU) seeks a committed Nursing Practice Director to lead nursing practice initiatives, education, and advocacy. Based in Oakland, the role involves supervising staff, developing CEU programs, and coordinating with legal and government relations teams to advance patient care standards.
The position requires a current RN license, strong nursing policy expertise, and the ability to travel up to 40% while delivering continuing education
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Demonstrated expertise in nursing practice issues and health care policy.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering CEU programs.
- Ability to interpret nursing practice statutes and regulations and their impact on nursing practice.
- Willingness to travel at least 40%.
- Driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, coordinate and present training and education programs on nursing practice.
- Serve as a general resource on nursing practice and patient advocacy issues for the organization.
- Knowledge of state Nursing Practice Acts and health care facility regulations.
