Job summary

Dolly Parton Children’s Hospital seeks a Manager to supervise and mentor unit-based educators, guiding education aligned with organizational priorities. You will lead orientation, competency validation, continuing education, and professional growth initiatives within the NPD framework.

You will collaborate with nursing leadership to drive practice gaps, implement change initiatives, and ensure outcomes-based education across the system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Nursing Professional Development (NPD) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Graduate degree in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze current practices to align with staff learning needs and standards.
• Oversee unit-based educators and mentor them within the NPD model.
• Maintain clear role boundaries, workflows, and performance expectations for the education team.
• Facilitate two-way communication between educators, nurse managers, and central education.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to align education with organizational goals.
• Standardize educational processes, competencies, and tools across the hospital.
• Monitor and evaluate education program outcomes and drive continuous quality improvements.
