Job summary

Baltimore City Community College is seeking a part-time Nursing Peer Tutor to support students in nursing programs. The role focuses on structured tutoring, reinforcing course content and clinical reasoning under supervision, while promoting independent learning.

You will work 5-10 hours weekly, assisting with study plans and exam prep, and refer students to faculty or college resources when needed. Training and orientation are provided.

Qualifications

• Current BCCC student in good academic standing.
• Eligible for applicable student-employment funding.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and professional boundaries.
• Experience supporting nursing students or similar peer-tedoring is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled nursing tutoring for individual and small groups.
• Reinforce concepts using approved resources and nursing terminology.
• Help students develop study plans, note-taking, and test-prep strategies.
• Guide students through practice questions without completing graded work.
• Maintain tutoring records and submit documentation as directed.
