Job summary

Santa Fe Care seeks an experienced Nursing Supervisor to assist in organizing and administering the nursing department and to provide quality care under the Director of Nursing. This is a salary position with diverse responsibilities across shift supervision, care planning, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years nursing experience required, preferably geriatric long-term care.
• Licensed to practice nursing in state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff assignments and scheduling.
• Provide nursing care on shift when needed.
• Assist and cooperate with medical staff.
• Assist in solving nursing service problems.
• Implement company forms, systems, policies and procedures.
• Supervise maintenance of nursing and related medical records.
• Validate accuracy of Care Plans.
• Support facility policies and staff understanding.
• Participate in facility quality improvement program.
• Conduct in-service and orientation programs.
• Review physician orders daily and monthly.
• Assist with DON responsibilities as requested.
• Supervise Residents Rights implementation.
• Supervise RNs and LVNs.
• Attend periodic in-services and staff meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
