Pavilion at Crescent Lake in Dayton, OH, seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in leading a high‑performing clinical team and delivering exceptional resident care.

The RN leader will mentor staff, elevate the standard of care, and provide hands‑on clinical support as needed. A valid RN license, 3+ years of supervisory experience, CPR certification, and knowledge of long‑term care regulations are required.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the practicing state.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing home, or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of long‑term care regulations and clinical practices.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Nursing to lead daily clinical operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations.
• Help plan, implement, and evaluate nursing programs that support quality care and positive outcomes.
• Serve as a clinical leader and role model, fostering accountability and excellence among staff.
• Step in to provide hands‑on clinical support during staffing or resident care needs.
• Guide, coach, and support nursing staff to build clinical competency and confidence.
• Conduct rounds to ensure residents’ needs are met with compassion and efficiency.
• Oversee ongoing education and in‑service training programs.
• Promote a culture rooted in teamwork, respect, and open communication.
• Monitor and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Participate in QAPI and performance improvement initiatives to drive better outcomes.
• Assist with audits, surveys, and regulatory readiness efforts.
• Serve on facility committees and contribute to strategic quality initiatives.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation to provide leadership support after hours.
• Respond to urgent clinical or staffing concerns, ensuring continuity of care.
