Job summary

Doc PersonalBeratung GmbH is seeking a Nursing Administration leader to monitor and optimize the nursing operations within designated institutions in South Carolina. You will supervise HCAs, ensure staffing coverage, and guide recruitment, credentialing, and staff development.

The role involves developing quality assurance programs, reviewing policies for regulatory compliance, and participating in leadership meetings with the Division Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active nursing license in South Carolina or a qualifying compact state.
• Two years of nursing management experience.
• Basic life support certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, advises, and audits the nursing operations of the assigned institutions, ensuring appropriate and effective utilization of staff.
• Conducts routine visits to assigned institutions, audits documentation, completes and submits routine reports for the division of nursing.
• Supervises the Health Care Authorities (HCAs) of the assigned institutions, including monitoring leave and attendance and ensuring coverage in the absence of the HCA.
• Serves as the responsible authority of additional institutions in the absence of the other assistant directors of nursing and/or the Division Director of Nursing as needed.
• Recruits, interviews, verifies licensure and credentials, and approves hiring and promotion of qualified staff, directs orientation, staff development, and nursing supervisory plans.
• Assists in developing, implementing, and measuring quality assurance programs for the Division of Nursing.
• Assists in developing new policies and procedures and the review of existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Conducts biweekly meetings with HCAs and Head Nurses (HNs).
• Attends biweekly meetings with Division Director of Nursing and monthly statewide supervisor meeting with Division Director of Nursing.
• Serves on committees and assists with special projects as designated by the Division Director of Nursing and/or the Chief Medical Administrator.
