Northwell in New York is seeking a Nursing Leader to oversee hospital operations in the absence of executive leadership, fostering a professional environment that supports high-quality, patient- and family-centered care.

You will guide supervisors and teams, promote evidence-based practice, ensure staffing adequacy, and maintain compliance with JC, CMS, NYS DOH, HIPAA, and hospital standards while modeling professional practice.

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s preferred (degree must be in nursing).
• Current NYS RN license required.
• Specialized certifications as needed.
• 6–10 years of nursing experience and 5–7 years in leadership/management required.

• Oversees and manages operations and patient care activities in all areas of facility in the absence of leadership.
• Provides leadership to supervisors and team members by communicating and guiding toward achieving facility objectives.
• Communicates, builds consensus, and guides departments toward achieving hospital objectives.
• Promotes and maintains high quality patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
• Maintains a professional work environment that fosters team member respect, engagement, accountability and optimal patient outcomes.
• Promotes evidence-based, ethical and compassionate practice.
• Provides direction to patient care unit teams in clinical and operational concerns in the absence of leadership.
• May input into performance reviews, hiring, promotions and corrective actions.
• Serves as a role model for standards of professional practice (clinical, educational and leadership).
• Monitors personnel, supply and equipment considerations in the absence of leadership.
• Assesses hospital activity, patient activity and personnel resources to ensure equitable staffing.
• Ensures adherence to the established care delivery model and standards of practice.
• Facilitates compliance with JC, CMS, NYS DOH, Public Health Law, HIPAA, and hospital standards.
• Maintains knowledge of scope and standards of practice, healthcare legislation, and population health.
