Job summary

Lake Huron Medical Center in Port Huron, MI is seeking a Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry. The role oversees 24-hour nursing service functions and ensures delivery of high-quality care.

Candidates must be a Registered Nurse with current license, BSN, and have at least two years of supervisory/management experience plus ACLS; BLS required on hire. This on-site full-time leadership position reports to the CNO/DON and requires strong communication with staff, physicians, and administration.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid RN license in the state.
• BLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required on hire.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in acute care.
• BSN degree required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for the management of all nursing service functions within the Med/Surg - Telemetry departments. Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit and effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time responsibilities for the unit and is directly accountable to the CNO/DON. Communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration both written and verbally.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
