Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Nursing, Healthcare, Business, Public Administration, Management or related field.
• Arizona RN license current.
• 3 years related experience; minimum 1 year supervisory.
• Candidates enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program may be considered; degree must be completed within 24 months.
• Strong knowledge of team building, systems thinking, problem solving, negotiating and influencing; change and conflict management; data analysis; coaching and mentoring; strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care as required by patient demand according to policies and protocols; cover Clinical Lead as needed.
• Perform financial reviews of administrative reports, benchmarking graphs, business plans and variance reports; act to meet targets and control expenses.
• Oversee budgets and capital for department; forecast budgeting needs and participate in budget development.
• Review department compensation; implement HR policies; manage recruitment and staff changes; provide access to patient care systems.
• Provide leadership and set expectations for roles and responsibilities of staff and Clinical Nurse Leaders.
• Develop staff competencies and provide information for staff positions.
• Provide performance coaching including improvement plans, corrective action, and termination.

Anyone traveling more than 60 miles one way to Holy Cross is eligible for a travel stipend of $60 per day.

Position Summary

This position will support Carondelet St Raphael's Emergency Center and Carondelet St Jospeh's Emergency Department. Will Accountable for associate performance and provision of patient care within specific environment and shift. Monitor fiscal and budgetary operations and provide support for the vision and direction of specific areas. Responsible for ongoing interface and frequent communication with patients, customers, associates, and management. Effectively manage change, facilitate innovation, foster teambuilding.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct nursing care as required by patient demand in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. Includes taking patient load and covering Clinical Lead position as needed.
• Provide financial review of administrative reports, accountability reports, benchmarking graphs, business plans, marketing initiatives, and variance reports. Take action as required to meet productivity targets and control expenses.
• Oversee budgets and capital for department. Forecast future budgeting needs and participates in budget development.
• Review department compensation, implements HR policies, recruitment, associate status changes, and associate access to patient care systems
• Provide leadership and set expectations for the roles & responsibilities for subordinates and Clinical Nurse Leaders.
• Develop staff competencies and provide information for staff positions.
• Provide performance coaching that may include performance improvement plans, corrective action and termination.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

Education

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business, Public Administration, Management or related field.

Candidates actively enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program may be considered by Nursing Leadership & Human Resources. Degree must be completed within an reasonable time frame - normally 24-months.

Experience

• 3 years related experience; minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of team building, systems thinking, complex problem solving, negotiating and influencing; change and conflict management; data analysis; coaching and mentoring, strategic planning, business strategy development.
• Computer skills required.

Licensure/Certifications: Current Arizona RN License in applicable discipline.

Preferred Requirements

Experience: 5 years related experience; 3 years supervisory experience
