Role Description

The Nursing Manager RN is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenville, OH, responsible for overseeing nursing services within hospice and palliative care programs. This position manages and supports nursing staff, including scheduling, performance oversight, mentoring, and ensuring adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day duties include coordinating patient care plans, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, reviewing clinical documentation, and monitoring quality and safety outcomes. The Nursing Manager RN also participates in case conferences, guides staff in complex symptom management, provides direct patient care as needed, and helps educate patients, families, and caregivers on care expectations. This role contributes to process improvement, supports orientation and ongoing staff development, and promotes a culture of compassion, accountability, and high-quality patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Nursing Management, including team leadership, staff supervision, and coordination of nursing services.
• Strong foundation in Nursing and Medicine, with the ability to apply clinical knowledge in hospice and palliative care settings.
• Experience in Critical Care Medicine and complex symptom management, including pain and symptom assessment and intervention.
• Proven skills in holistic Patient Care, emphasizing dignity, comfort, communication, and family support.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio; hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance and quality improvement.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications in hospice and palliative nursing are a plus.
