Job summary

Baptist Health System in Texas is seeking a seasoned nurse manager to oversee daily operations, drive clinical excellence, and coordinate with physicians, staff and patients to ensure high‑quality care.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas RN license, and at least three years in acute care. Active BLS/ACLS as required; on‑site leadership with a focus on safety, efficiency, and staff development. This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• PREFERRED EDUCATION : Bachelors Degree
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : Three years in acute care
• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE : Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse
• PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
• REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• ACLs/TNCC, PALS/ENPC, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., Fetal Monitoring, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention are required within timeframe addressed on the RN job description for unit/department or specialty (REFER TO RN JOB DESC)

• The Manager assists the departmental leader in managing and directing activities for the provision of care and provides direct professional care to patients in his/her assigned area of responsibility ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, following established standards and practices.
• Serves as the departmental on site manager for daily operations.

Job Summary

Serves as the departmental on site manager for daily operations. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
