Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Emergency Room Nursing Manager to lead a high-volume ED. The role requires overseeing about 100 team members across nursing and support staff and ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN or be enrolled in one, maintain an Oklahoma RN license, and obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. Prior nurse-manager experience is preferred and ED leadership is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current RN license or eligible per State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.
• This role will oversee a high-volume, 38-bed Emergency Department within a Level III Trauma Center, leading approximately 100 team members across nursing and support roles.

The nurse manager will promote the mission and values of the organization and be an active advocate of providing quality patient care, excellent customer service and efficient health care. As a member of the management team, the nurse manager will be involved in system planning, budgeting, manpower planning and program development in order to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing or enrolled in a BSN program within 8 months of starting.
• Current RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the applicable State Board of Nursing
• BLS certification must be obtained with 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years' clinical nursing experience in the emergency department.
• Previous nurse manager experience
• Certification in clinical specialty
