Job summary

Providence Covenant Hobbs Hospital is seeking a nurse leader to plan, supervise, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care across designated clinical areas 24/7. You will oversee staff performance and unit operations while working closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, staff development, and a culture of patient-focused, whole-person care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• New Mexico Registered Nurse License (upon hire) is required.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire) is required.
• 3 years professional nursing experience.
• 2 years clinical experience in specific clinical area.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care and unit management 24/7.

Job description

Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s). Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum. Minimal supervision required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• New Mexico Registered Nurse License (upon hire)
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• ACLS and/or PALS (upon hire)
• Specialty certification related to practice (upon hire)
• Maintains chemotherapy hospital-based certification (Medical Oncology and Physician Offices) (upon hire)
• 2 years supervisory/leadership experience.
• Computer skills.
