Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) specialist to advance evidence-based practice, facilitate ongoing learning, and support role development for nurses and health care staff.

Requirements include Texas RN license, NCLEX eligibility, Bachelor’s in Nursing, current BLS, 3 years related experience and 1 year acute care hospital experience; preferred Master’s in Nursing and ANCC credentials.

Qualifications

• Must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the state of Texas.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• 3 years related experience.
• 1 year recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.

Nursing professional development (NPD) is a nursing practice specialty that improves the professional practice and role competence of nurses and other healthcare personnel by facilitating ongoing learning, change, and role competence and growth with the intention of improving population health through indirect care.
