Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Texas Rehabilitation of Plano facility, a brand-new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation center opening in 2026, is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team and advance patient care with a focus on safety and quality.

The role emphasizes creating a professional environment, ensuring documentation and HIPAA compliance, promoting rehabilitation nursing, coordinating new admissions, and guiding staff development toward CRRN certification.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, RN licensure in Texas.
• Current CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of nursing leadership experience.
• May require flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provides a professional working environment for employees.
• Ensures nursing department staff performs all patient care in a safety‑focused, high‑quality environment.
• Ensures documentation, including medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitors the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Ensures compliance with nursing scope of practice and HIPAA.
• Enforces education/in‑service requirements and competencies.
• Promotes rehabilitation nursing philosophy and staff development, including CRRN acquisition.
• Reviews risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction and outcomes; communicates results to the nursing department.
• May coordinate new admissions including room and staffing.
• Ensures nursing attendance and participation in team conferences.
• Ensures staff completes charting.
• Other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

A Nurse Manager who excels in this role:

• Provides a professional working environment for employees.
• Ensures the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Ensures appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitors completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Ensures compliance with nursing scope of practice and HIPAA.
• Enforces compliance of the nursing department with education/in-service requirements/orientation and competencies.
• Promotes rehabilitation nursing philosophy and practice; encourages staff development, including acquisition of CRRN for qualified registered nurses.
• Assists to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicates this information to the nursing department.
• May coordinate new admissions including room and staffing assignments.
• Ensures nursing attendance and participation in team conferences.
• Ensures staff completes charting.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. BSN Preferred.
• Experience: Current unrestricted state licensure as Registered Nurse. CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred. Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership
• Additional Requirements: CRRN Certification preferred. CPR certification. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
