Job summary

Lifepoint Health's Texas Rehabilitation of Plano is hiring a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team at a brand-new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. The role focuses on safe patient care, staff development, and compliance with policies and HIPAA.

Qualifications include a BSN-preferred education path, current RN licensure, CPR/BCLS, and ACLS; CRRN preferred. Flexible hours and overtime may be required as part of leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program; BSN preferred.
• Current unrestricted state licensure as Registered Nurse; CPR/BCLS certification.
• ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred; may require flexible hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provides a professional working environment for employees.
• Ensures nursing staff delivers patient care safely and accurately.
• Ensures documentation of medical necessity and maintains medical records; monitors Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Ensures compliance with nursing scope of practice and HIPAA.
• Promotes rehabilitation nursing philosophy and staff development; supports CRRN attainment.
• Reviews risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction, and outcomes; communicates findings to nursing staff.
• Coordinates new admissions including room and staffing assignments.
• Ensures staff attendance in team conferences and timely charting.

How You’ll Contribute

A Nurse Manager who excels in this role:

• Provides a professional working environment for employees.
• Ensures the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Ensures appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitors completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Ensures compliance with nursing scope of practice and HIPAA.
• Enforces compliance of the nursing department with education/in-service requirements/orientation and competencies.
• Promotes rehabilitation nursing philosophy and practice; encourages staff development, including acquisition of CRRN for qualified registered nurses.
• Assists to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicates this information to the nursing department.
• May coordinate new admissions including room and staffing assignments.
• Ensures nursing attendance and participation in team conferences.
• Ensures staff completes charting.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. BSN Preferred.
• Experience: Current unrestricted state licensure as Registered Nurse. CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred. Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership
• Additional Requirements: CRRN Certification preferred. CPR certification. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
