Job summary

Texas Rehabilitation of Plano, a brand-new hospital opening in 2026, is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the nursing department, uphold patient safety, and drive quality care. The role emphasizes documentation, education, and compliance within a cutting-edge rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications include BSN/ADN or Nursing Diploma, current RN licensure, CPR/BLS, ACLS preferred, and minimum two years of leadership experience. CRRN is encouraged; flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN or Nursing Diploma program; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Current unrestricted state RN licensure; CPR/BLS required; ACLS preferred; minimum two years nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional working environment for nursing staff.
• Ensure patient care is delivered safely and accurately.
• Document medical necessity and maintain accurate medical records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance within the nursing department.
• Oversee education/in-service requirements and competencies.
• Promote rehabilitation nursing philosophy and staff development (CRRN encouraged).
• Review risk, quality indicators, patient satisfaction and outcomes; report to leadership.
• Coordinate admission processes including room and staffing assignments.
• Ensure attendance in team conferences and timely charting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contributeA Nurse Manager who excels in this role:

• Provides a professional working environment for employees.
• Ensures the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Ensures appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitors completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan.
• Ensures compliance with nursing scope of practice and HIPAA.
• Enforces compliance of the nursing department with education/in-service requirements/orientation and competencies.
• Promotes rehabilitation nursing philosophy and practice; encourages staff development, including acquisition of CRRN for qualified registered nurses.
• Assists to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicates this information to the nursing department.
• May coordinate new admissions including room and staffing assignments.
• Ensures nursing attendance and participation in team conferences.
• Ensures staff completes charting.
• Other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills: Education: Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. BSN Preferred.

Experience: Current unrestricted state licensure as Registered Nurse. CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred. Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership.

Additional Requirements: CRRN Certification preferred. CPR certification. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
