Job summary

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is assisting our client in Knoxville, Tennessee to hire a Critical Care Nurse Manager for an on-site, direct-hire role. The position offers a full-time schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm, with a annual salary of $115,000 to $125,000.

Key responsibilities include staff development and performance evaluation, budgeting, coordinating patient care across units, and driving quality improvement initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and safe patient care.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee.
• Relocation assistance available.
• Minimum 3+ years of critical care management experience.

Responsibilities

• Selects, trains, orients, develop and evaluate performance of the department staff. Ensure staffing mix and allocation in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Develop departmental budgets. Administers operations in accordance with budgeted parameters.
• Maintains operational reports and records and collects statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes.
• Coordinates and reports outcome of nursing activities performed on behalf of the patient.
• Establishes and maintains communication between the nursing unit, medical staff and ancillary departments for the purposes of problem solving and quality improvement.
• Ensures establishment and implementation of unit goals and objectives are in alignment with the facility and system.
• Promotes a safe environment that allows for the delivery of high-quality patient care utilizing evidenced based practices.
• Protect patient confidentiality by promoting professional staff communications.
• Supervises, institutes, and evaluates nursing interventions and documentation.
• Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age-specific needs of the population served.
• Works collaboratively with other disciplines to ensure patient care is timely, efficient, and effective.
• Facilitates professional development of staff with accountability for staff retention.
• Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
