Creative Solutions in Healthcare in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead resident care, supervise staff, and ensure regulatory compliance. This leadership role emphasizes clinical judgment, teamwork, and dependable performance.

The ADON will support staffing, supervise nursing staff, review documentation, participate in care planning, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid nursing license and be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Demonstrated leadership/management experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong working knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Background in geriatric or long-term care nursing and restorative care philosophy.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Staffing Needs: assist floor staffing as needed.
• Oversee Resident Care: contribute to MDS, care planning, and infection control programs.
• Manage Nursing Staff: hire, train, evaluate, and delegate duties per census and budget.
• Ensure Accurate Documentation: maintain up-to-date resident records.
• Develop Care Plans: collaborate with physicians and teams to design individualized plans.
• Support Staff Resources: ensure timely access to equipment and supplies.
• Uphold Infection Control: perform assessments and implement controls.
