Job summary

Parkville Care Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to oversee nursing staff and ensure high standards of resident care.

Responsibilities include rounds, monitoring resident status, staff training, and daily oversight of RNs, Charge Nurses, and CNAs. Connecticut RN licensure and QA/Improv knowledge are required; a health care degree is preferred. Long-term care supervisory experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Connecticut is required.
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Improvement processes is required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a health care related field is preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory position in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in managing nursing staff to ensure standards of nursing practice, quality care, and treatments.
• Leads regular facility rounds and monitors resident status.
• Maintains awareness of resident clinical care issues.
• Leads staff coaching and instruction on resident care.
• Assists the DNS in training nursing staff to support clinical services and competency.
• Oversees RN Supervisors, Charge Nurses, and CNAs on a daily basis.
