Job summary

Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to join the MED SURG ICU team. The role leads daily nursing operations, develops staff, and supports patient safety, quality initiatives, and financial stewardship across the nursing department.

The ideal candidate will hold an RN license in Wisconsin (or a compact license) with an Associate degree in nursing and a BSN strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Wisconsin RN license (or compact) valid and current.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN from accredited school highly preferred.
• Minimum of three years' healthcare experience as a staff nurse.
• Minimum of two years in Charge Nurse/Team Lead or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of general nursing standards, practice bundles, and operations.
• Strong communication, integrity, and follow-through on commitments.
• Identifies workflow problems and implements improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, staff across locations and promote diversity.
• Ability to manage conflict and engage in crucial conversations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead and develop the nursing department, personnel, and operations.
• Assist with patient safety, quality initiatives, financial management, and employee satisfaction.
• Assume leadership in the absence of the manager or director.
• Foster professional development and workflow improvements.
