Job summary

Advena Living on Woodlawn in Wichita, KS seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing / MDS Assessment Coordinator to support the Director of Nursing, guide the nursing team, and coordinate MDS activities from admission through discharge, focusing on accurate documentation and resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Kansas LPN, RN license or multi-state RN license.
• Previous MDS experience required.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations and resident assessment requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing with daily clinical operations and team leadership.
• Coordinate MDS assessments, schedules, documentation, and interdisciplinary participation.
• Help ensure care plans reflect each resident’s current needs and goals.
• Assist with staffing, education, quality initiatives, and regulatory readiness.
• Provide clinical supervision and direct resident care.
