Schedule: Full Time/Nights (1900-0700)

Salary Incentive

• Up to $10,000 for eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience.
• $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience.
• Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees and former members within 6 months of separation are ineligible.

Unit Description

The Adult Acute Care Unit (MS3) is a 56‑bed / 36‑telemetry – Medical / Surgical unit concentrating on complex adult patient populations including cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, post‑surgical, and orthopedics.

Responsibilities

Develop and utilize advanced organizational, prioritization, communication, and leadership skills while working closely with other healthcare professionals in a team‑oriented work environment.

Summary

The Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Acute Care role is designed to progress towards competency and independence in patient care delivery through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The New Graduate Program supports the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current applicable state license as a Registered Professional Nurse; current BLS certification required or obtain within 30 days of start date.
