Job summary

Saint Luke's North Hospital seeks a Nursing Student to join the Medical Telemetry Unit for hands-on learning and ongoing education opportunities.

This paid internship is part-time (PRN; Days) with at least one shift every six weeks, under supervision of Registered Nurses to develop clinical skills toward graduation in 2026–2028.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program.
• Has completed Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• Graduation date expected in 2026/2027 or 2027/2028.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical procedures and provides patient care under RN supervision.
• Supports the health care team and follows unit protocols.
• May perform tasks per unit competency validation but not licensed tasks.

Schedule

PRN; Days; Minimum 1 shift per 6 week schedule

The Nursing Intern

The Nursing Intern is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed a Fundamentals of Nursing course and have a graduation date in 2026/2027. The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation. However, Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.

The Nurse Intern position is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing. We are currently looking for nursing students whose expected graduation date is in 2027/2028.
