Qualifications

Hold a current California Registered Nurse License and one year of full-time employment as a Registered Nurse.
Master’s in nursing is required.
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline and instructional needs of community college students.
Ability to relate well with peers and communicate effectively in writing and speech.
Demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Instruct students in the assigned nursing discipline.
Develop curricula and instructional methods.
Advise students in group and individual settings.
Assist students in time management and learning skills.
Participate in flex activities and staff development.
Conduct peer reviews as per contract.
Collaborate with discipline/division peers regularly.
Support discipline recruitment, research, and development.
Participate in institutional committees and activities.
Fulfill duties as directed by policy and contract; assignments may include day, evening, weekend, or online formats.
