Jefferson Community & Technical College is hiring full-time Nursing Instructors (LPN) for the Downtown and Carrollton Campus. Positions start Aug 3, 2026. The role covers didactic and clinical instruction within the Nursing Program, with opportunities for advising and curriculum development.

The successful candidate will hold a Master’s in nursing with at least five years’ experience and an active KY nursing license or compact state license. BSN preferred; ADN with BSN in progress considered.

Job Summary

The Nursing Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has multiple openings for full-time Practical Nursing Instructors for the Downtown and the Carrollton Campus. These positions start 8/3/2026.

Job Duties

This position will be responsible for full-time didactic and clinical instruction in the Nursing Program. Other duties include but are not limited to:

• Academic advising
• Course and curriculum development
• Internal and external community service
• Educational leadership and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in nursing with at least five years’ experience in Nursing. Must have an unrestricted unencumbered KY Nursing License or compact state License to practice nursing in the state of Kentucky.

Preferred Qualifications

At least five years’ experience in Nursing. BSN will be preferred, will take ADN with BSN in progress. Considered with the requirement of obtaining an BSN in nursing education within 5 years. Medical-surgical nursing experience is required within the last 5 years. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. Must be proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite. Preference will be given to qualified applicants with previous teaching experience, knowledge of nursing at the associate degree level, and leadership experience.
