Job summary

The USF Health College of Nursing, part of the University of South Florida, seeks an Instructor I for undergraduate teaching and potential graduate-level duties. Learn and teach across Tampa and St. Petersburg campuses with in-person requirement and no remote option.

Responsibilities include delivering didactic and clinical instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development and program assessment within the College of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution; eligible for Instructor rank.
• Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor (non-tenure earning).
• Degree Equivalency Clause allows substitution of years of direct experience for postsecondary education requirements as described in SB 1310.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in classroom, clinical, laboratory, simulation, hybrid, and/or online environments across USF campuses: Tampa and St. Petersburg.
• Provide high-quality didactic, clinical, laboratory, and simulation instruction with supervision and evaluation of student learning.
• Mentor students to develop clinical judgment, critical thinking, professional behaviors, and safe nursing practice.
• Assess student achievement and provide timely feedback to support growth.
• Collaborate with faculty, simulation staff, clinical partners, and stakeholders to promote high-quality learning experiences.
• Participate in curriculum development, course assessment, and continuous quality improvement in the undergraduate nursing program.
