Job summary

Gateway Community & Technical College in Northern Kentucky is seeking a full-time Nursing instructor to deliver high-quality education to Associate Degree Nursing students. The role requires teamwork and participation in team teaching, with a short 15-minute teaching demonstration during interviews.

10-month contracts run Aug–May, with salary spread over 12 months and year-round benefits. Renewal depends on enrollment and funding. Clinical teaching and student recruitment are part of duties.

Qualifications

• BSN with 18 hours of graduate work in Nursing or a commitment to obtain an MSN within five years.
• Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by a state board of nursing.
• Current, active, unencumbered RN license in Kentucky.
• Minimum of two years of direct patient care as an RN in the last five years.
• Classroom and clinical teaching experience; proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Participate in instructional presentation and delivery, including planning, design, evaluation, and assessment of instructional programs.
• Assist in design/update of course syllabi, curriculum review and development.
• Incorporate latest instructional technologies and interactive learning methods.
• Support college mission and department goals; participate in committees.
• Provide supplemental teaching in clinical and skills laboratories each semester.
