Job summary

Big Sandy Community and Technical College in Eastern Kentucky is seeking a Nursing Instructor. The role supports nursing education for Practical Nursing and ADN students, under a 10-month annual renewable faculty contract, on-site at the Pikeville Campus with the Nursing Department.

The position emphasizes teamwork, curriculum development, and integrating new teaching technologies, with responsibilities including syllabus design, student assessment, advising, and possible evening or weekend

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in a professional nursing education program approved by a state board of nursing.
• Current active, unencumbered RN licensure in Kentucky or ability to obtain license.
• Preferred MSN and Certified Nurse Educator (CNE).

Responsibilities

• Participates in instructional presentation, planning and evaluation of courses.
• Assists in syllabus design, curriculum review and development.
• Maintains records and reports on student learning.
• Uses instructional and interactive learning technologies in delivery.
• Recruits students, provides advising, and monitors performance.
• May teach evening/weekend or other campus locations as needed.
