Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Instructor in Nursing to prepare and deliver classroom and clinical instruction for accredited nursing courses, including obstetrics. The role is on the Alpharetta North-Fulton campus with occasional Lawrenceville Campus assignments.

The ideal candidate holds a Doctorate or Master’s degree in the discipline (or is pursuing a Master’s with 18 graduate hours) and must have an active RN license in Georgia.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia.
• Doctorate or Master’s in discipline or pursuing Master’s with 18 graduate hours.
• Two years’ experience teaching college-level nursing courses or two years’ obstetrics RN experience preferred.
• Experience with curriculum development and diverse learning styles; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans for credited Nursing courses and clinical instruction.
• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate student progress toward goals and objectives.
• Maintain supplies and budget requests; ensure program certification requirements.
• Prepare documentation and administrative reports; attend staff development activities.
• Foster recruitment, retention and job placement efforts; collaborate with faculty, staff and students.
