Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a part-time and/or per diem Vocational Nursing Instructor to join our team. This position will involve evenings and/or weekend clinical support with visits to clinical sites.

You will strive to improve instruction quality by using diverse teaching methods and integrating online activities into the course content. Responsibilities include updating syllabi, maintaining student records, and ensuring compliance with clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• RN or LVN with current licensure in the state you are teaching in.
• 3 years bedside RN/BSN experience OR 6 years bedside LVN/Associate degree experience.
• Preferred: current immunizations and BLS/ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Visit clinical sites to provide evenings and weekends clinical support.
• Review and apply innovative teaching methodologies to improve instruction quality.
• Utilize online activities to enhance course content and engage students.
• Assist with reviewing and revising syllabi per program guidelines.
• Submit required program reports to the Director on time and maintain compliance with deadlines.
• Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills check-offs.
• Update and maintain student files related to immunizations and clinical requirements.
• Teach courses and clinical rotations at planned times/locations including evenings/weekends.
• Participate in professional development to renew licensure and stay current with college updates.
• Participate in committees as assigned based on availability and teaching responsibilities.

Education

Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in state of teaching
