Job summary

Trinity Health in Des Moines is seeking an experienced nursing educator to support Mercy College students in health sciences, facilitating clinical learning experiences, advising students, and collaborating with faculty to enhance program quality.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in nursing or a BSN with at least three years of nursing practice, current Iowa RN licensure, and demonstrated ability to teach, mentor and lead within classroom and clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing or BSN with minimum three years’ nursing experience.
• Current and valid RN Iowa licensure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, lead or train others.
• Demonstrated ability to teach with varied classroom/clinical strategies.

Responsibilities

• Provides teaching, supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences within a clinical or lab environment.
• Provides advisement for intellectual and professional development of students.
• Collaborates with faculty and clinical agencies to provide optimum learning opportunities.
• Mentors new or inexperienced faculty as appropriate.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
